Hi, I'm Reisa.
I like numbers and I like people. I'm pretty good with both. By day I'm working on democratizing securities lending in the US at Sharegain. By night, I'm a Brooklyn mom of three who loves all sports and hates running, which has never once stopped me from running.
This site is where I learn by building. The projects are whatever's gotten stuck in my head lately: finance, health data, parenting, AI, bread. Some are useful. Some are weird. One involves yeast.
Most problems, I've decided, are prioritization problems. At work there's always more opportunity than resources. As a parent of three there's always more advice than attention. As a person there's always more curiosity than time.
I've always learned best by doing. AI just means I can build the thing instead of just reading and thinking about it.
Curiosity → Build → Learn → Repeat.

Experiments
Tools and prototypes that started with a question I wanted to understand better or an annoyance I wanted to solve.
School Calendar Helper
Turn a school calendar URL into a clean, customizable family calendar with reminders.
Why I built this
Parents constantly miss school closures, half days, and conference days buried in school calendars. I wanted a tool that makes the schedule transparent before it hits your phone.
What it does
Paste a school calendar URL, review detected events by category, add family events, and download a standards-compliant ICS calendar — no accounts required.
BabyOS
A cheat sheet for new parents, from due date through toddlerhood.
Why I built this
I had a million tabs open about milestones, leaps, schedules or random middle-of-the-night questions. I wanted one place for questions that repeatedly came up to me, and for those that I should be asking.
What it does
Enter a due or birth date. Get stage-appropriate checklists, milestones, and what to expect this week.
FIRE Planner
A back-of-the-envelope calculator for financial independence.
Why I built this
There are a million FIRE calculators out there. I wanted one where I can control inputs and recommendations and eventually get live prompts (hopefully kudos!) on acting upon those recommendations. FIRE is the dream, no?
What it does
Plug in portfolio, spending, savings, and assumptions. Get your FIRE number and estimated timeline.
BKLN Bakes
Balkan pastries, baked in Brooklyn.
Why I built this
Little compares to eating your own warm kiflice with butter and a pinch of coarse salt. I wanted to see if I could take something I love making and actually run it as a business — enter the Carroll Gardens microbakery.
What it does
Browse what's baking, preorder kiflice, burek, and seasonal specials for pickup in Carroll Gardens.
